The Brownsville Public Utilities Board (BPUB) is celebrating Public Power Month in October along with more than 2,000 other citizen-owned electric utilities.
The Brownsville Public Utilities Board (BPUB) asks its customers to conserve electricity today during peak demand hours between 3-7 p.m. This request is being made as part of a call by the Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT) to limit or reduce electrical use to preserve the Rio Grande Valley energy grid.
The Brownsville Public Utilities Board (BPUB) announces there will be a water service interruption Tuesday, Oct. 4, from 1 p.m. until approximately 6 p.m., as crews repair 8” and 6” water main lines. The service interruption will affect approximately 200 customers.
