Some BPUB Customers to Experience Water Service Interruption

The Brownsville Public Utilities Board (BPUB) announces there will be a water service interruption Tuesday, Oct. 4, from 1 p.m. until approximately 6 p.m., as crews repair 8” and 6” water main lines. The service interruption will affect approximately 200 customers.

The water lines will be repaired at East 32nd Street and East Avenue. Streets impacted by the temporary water service disruption include East 30th Street, East 31st Street, East 32nd Street, Lima Street, Tampico Street and East Avenue. Other nearby streets might also experience a temporary loss in service or water pressure.

This work is part of BPUB’s continued commitment toward improving and maintaining the city’s water infrastructure.
