BPUB: 1,484 Customers without Electricity

BROWNSVILLE, TX – Brownsville Public Utilities Board (BPUB) crews are working to restore service to approximately 1,484 customers in northeast Brownsville. BPUB Awards First Check in GreenBusiness Program

BPUB’s GreenBusiness program is officially underway. Just ask Trico Products. That company was the first business to receive a rebate for updating its facility to be more energy efficient. Trico was awarded a check for $14,289 for its efforts.

ERCOT Discontinues Rolling Blackouts

Damaged Electrical Pole Causes Outage in Northwest Brownsville

BROWNSVILLE, TEXAS – A car accident early Thursday morning broke an electrical pole at Military Highway and Alton Gloor Boulevard belonging to American Electric Power (AEP). ERCOT Asks RGV Utilities to Shed Electrical Load

BROWNSVILLE, TEXAS –The Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT) has issued a transmission emergency for the Rio Grande Valley. The Brownsville Public Utilities Board (BPUB) along with the other Rio Grande Valley utilities has been instructed to shed electric load.
