Resaca Restoration Exhibit Opens at Childrens Museum
November 2015 marked the official opening of a special collaboration between the BPUB and the Children’s Museum of Brownsville. The BPUB believes in the investment in our community’s children and the city’s resacas and what they mean to future water reliability.
This permanent exhibit is an ambitious collaboration with the CMB Outdoor Learning Garden. The exhibit is designed to use play as a tool to teach visitors about the restoration process and, ultimately, protect valuable Brownsville water resources.
The hands-on play will allow future generations to see what type of work it takes to keep resacas and local waters clean and healthy.
In addition to the Resaca Restoration Project, the Outdoor Learning Garden is also the home of a musical exhibit, a gardening center and a “paint” wall designed to provide hands-on learning for children and adults.
