Report Outages From the Palm of Your Hand
BPUB has made it easier than ever to report outages or other service-related problems with the launch of an outage reporting application on the BPUB website.
This application is easy to use and doesn’t even require a download. Simply visit the BPUB website and click on the “Report a Problem” link. This gives you access to the app. From here, you can bookmark the site for quick access or choose to add it to your home screen if you’re using a smart phone or tablet. Doing so will add an icon to your home screen to enable quick, one-click access to the app.
Whether you use the app from a desktop computer, smart phone or tablet, the responsive design will adapt to whatever device you’re using, ensuring compatibility with any device and across all major browsers.
The main feature of this application is the ability to report outages or other service-related problems. Customers can report issues with:
- Street lights
- Fire hydrants
- Security lights
The icons used on the app let you know at a glance what to select depending on your problem. Then just enter your contact information and select the nature of the issue from a list of choices. Click submit and your message will make its way to BPUB where it will be routed to the correct department and a crew will be dispatched to investigate the problem. The person who reported the issue will even receive an email when it has been resolved.

The app also features the latest outage information BPUB has sent through Twitter (BPUB_Tweets). This will keep people informed and let them know if an issue is already being addressed by BPUB crews.
Adding even more convenience, the app also provides quick access to BPUB’s online bill payment service. This will allow you to pay your bill from your phone or tablet rather than standing in line.
