Public Power Month Lights Up BPUB Facebook
The shares and likes came fast and furious in October as people shared and liked their favorite entries in the 2014 Public Power Month Poster Contest. The contest had two categories, middle school and high school, and asked students to create a poster with an energy conservation message.
There were three awards for each category. The people’s choice was determined by the highest number of likes on the BPUB Facebook page, and grand prize and honorable mention awards were voted on by a panel of BPUB employees based on a number of criteria, like creativity and the message that the poster presents.
In all, there were more than 600 shares and more than 3,500 likes on Facebook. After such a flurry of activity, there emerged two winners in the People’s Choice category.
Congratulations to all the winners, and a big thank you goes out to all of the students who submitted entries. We received so many great posters, and we encourage all of you to go to our Facebook page to view them all.
