BPUB Key Accounts & Business Development Department Expands

The Brownsville Public Utilities Board is excited to introduce its new Key Accounts and Business Development Department team. This department is responsible for the retention and recruitment of large commercial/industrial customers and new residential subdivisions. In addition, this department facilitates electric conversions, when a customer switches from one power provider to BPUB. As liaisons between the utility and the customers, this team is on call 24/7 to assist in any way it can and build long-term relationships with those customers.

This department is led by Business Development & Key Accounts Manager Eddie Campirano Jr. who brings with him a wealth of customer service experience from his previous position at BPUB as conservation coordinator. That previous position has also made Campirano a great resource for helping your business make green choices.

Business Development Representative Jenica Russell assists contractors with connecting the water/wastewater/and electric utilities to their development. She also aids customers in competitive areas with their conversions to BPUB.

Danny Marez serves as Senior Key Accounts Representative, and Joey Garcia has taken on the role of Key Accounts Representative. This pair ensures that key accounts receive assistance in any type of dealings they might have with BPUB; this includes help during periods when there could be a service interruption. With key accounts accounting for million of dollars, or more than 20 percent of BPUB’s total electric service revenue, these are critical positions.

Lorena Avelar, Administrative Associate, assists all the members of the Key Accounts Department. Avelar serves as a hub for the department by fielding phone calls, helping direct interdepartmental traffic and assisting with customer requests.

Eddy Hernandez serves as Director of Customer Service and Information Technology, which is the division under which Key Accounts falls. Hernandez has a customer-first philosophy and is excited to bring that knowledge and experience to BPUB’s Key Accounts team.
