BPUB Activates General Emergency Plan
With the threat of Hurricane Harvey making landfall on or near Brownsville, the Brownsville Public Utilities Board (BPUB) General Emergency Management Plan has been activated, effective Thursday, August 24, 2017 at 3 p.m.
BPUB is prepared and ready to handle impending storms expected due to Hurricane Harvey.
Should there be electric, water and wastewater services interruptions due to downed power lines or other natural causes, the utility and its employees are fully trained, capable and ready to restore services to Brownsville. The public can rest assured that the utility will be continually abreast of the situation throughout the storm and recovery process.
