BPUB Deactivates General Emergency Plan
Posted in Press Releases
The Brownsville Public Utilities Board (BPUB) General Manager and CEO John S. Bruciak deactivated the General Emergency Plan on Friday, Aug. 25 at 4 p.m. as Hurricane Harvey bypassed Brownsville and is projected to make landfall on the northern Gulf Coast.
Normal business hours will resume beginning Monday, Aug. 28, at 8 a.m.
BPUB electrical, water and wastewater crews worked throughout the storm. About 50 to 60 customers experienced short service interruptions due to palm tree branches that fell on power lines. All services have been restored.
To report an outage, please call 956-983-6300 or use the BPUB app at https://assist.brownsville-pub.com/.
