Overnight Water Valve Work to Cause Minor Interruptions

The Brownsville Public Utilities Board (BPUB) will conduct overnight valve maintenance work on Friday, Jan. 23, 2015, beginning at 10 p.m. and ending on Saturday, Jan. 24, 2015, at approximately 8 a.m. Residents living in the area west of North Expressway 77 from Stovall Road and spanning south to Rio Vista Avenue may see a temporary water interruption.

Residents living on Stovall Road, Russell Drive, Westlawn Park, Lakeside Boulevard, West 14th Street, West 15th Street, West Washington Street, West Elizabeth Street, West Levee Street, West St. Charles Street, West St. Francis Street and Rio Vista Avenue are assured the work will be performed during nighttime hours to present as few inconveniences as possible.

This work had previously been scheduled for Jan. 9 but had to be postponed because of weather.

Work-notice fliers have been distributed to affected residents, and work status updates will also be available at the BPUB Facebook and Twitter. BPUB apologizes for any inconvenience this work may cause.
