BPUB to Conduct Electrical Work in Brownsville Country Club
BROWNSVILLE, TX – The Brownsville Public Utilities Board (BPUB) announces that electrical crews will be completing work in the Brownsville Country Club on Wednesday, Oct. 8 from 9 a.m. until approximately 10 a.m.
The scheduled work will restore power to two primary distribution lines that were affected after a brief power outage last week. Repairs have already been made, but the work scheduled for Wednesday will complete the power restoration process for these lines.
Although many streets in the area of the Brownsville Golf Center will not be impacted, some northwest portions of the area will experience a temporary interruption in electrical service while this final work is performed. This should affect about 100 customers. The restoration of these distribution lines will help ensure power reliability in the event that other power lines in the area are impacted.
BPUB apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause. In the event of a prolonged outage, customers can call 956-983-6300 to report an outage.
