BPUB Announces Temporary Road Closure
The Brownsville Public Utilities Board (BPUB) announces a temporary partial road closure as part of the utility’s ongoing commitment to infrastructure improvement.
The road closure will affect Wilson Street, Thursday, July 17, starting at 10 a.m. This closure is necessary as a BPUB crew will install a 6-inch water main line valve on Wilson Street. The closure is expected to end at approximately 8 p.m. Residents and businesses on Wilson Street will have access throughout the day.
Motorists are asked to be vigilant for road signs in these areas. All construction dates and times are approximate, and the end date and time may vary due to the nature of weather, soil conditions and job provisions.
BPUB, Texas Department of Transportation and City of Brownsville departments have coordinated on this effort to make it a safe and efficient operation. BPUB apologizes for any inconvenience this closure may cause.
