BPUB Announces Temporary Lane Closures on Expressway
The Brownsville Public Utilities Board (BPUB) is closing one lane on Highway 77 from Veterans International Bridge to Highway 100 starting at 11 p.m. Thursday, March 23, 2023 to 5 a.m. Friday, March 24, 2023 to repair the lights on a portion of the expressway. Motorists will still have access to the expressway.
Traffic will be limited to one lane until work is completed. All construction dates and times are approximate, and the end date and time may vary due to the nature of weather, site conditions and job provisions.
BPUB, Texas Department of Transportation and City of Brownsville departments have coordinated on this effort to make it a safe and efficient operation. BPUB apologizes for any inconveniences the closure may cause.
