BPUB Delivers Toys for Adopt an Angel Project
The Brownsville Public Utilities Board (BPUB) delivered toys to two agencies Thursday as part of the Adopt an Angel Project.
BPUB employees have been participating in the Adopt an Angel Project for more than 25 years. The tradition has become a part of the culture of compassion at the utility. This year, employees “adopted” 150 children and brought a holiday gift for them. The gifts went to two local agencies: Tip of Texas Family Outreach and Friendship of Women Inc.
Many of the children made special gift requests, and BPUB employees were eager to meet those wishes, as the rapidly growing pile of wrapped gifts and gift bags that was collected would attest.
Being a part of and caring for the community is important to BPUB employees, and the holidays are no exception. This is a time for giving to those who may not have as much during this time of year, and the Adopt an Angel Project provides BPUB employees with that outlet to give and contribute to the community during the holidays.
