4 Additional BPUB Employees Test Positive for COVID-19

WHAT: Four additional BPUB employees tested positive for COVID-19.
LAST DATE AT BPUB FACILITY: One affected employee was working remotely and was last at a BPUB facility on March 24. The second employee was last at a BPUB facility June 5, and the third was last at a BPUB facility June 8. The fourth was last at a BPUB facility June 15.
DATE OF POSITIVE TEST: BPUB received confirmation of the positive test results on Wednesday, June 17 and Thursday, June 18.

BPUB will continue to follow CDC guidelines for workplace safety, require employees to use facial coverings, promote good hygiene practices and share health, safety and travel guidelines with all employees.

BPUB wants to reassure customers that there is still staff on hand for ongoing electric, water and wastewater operations and customer service inquiries. Many departments are working from remote locations until the pandemic eases. BPUB offices are closed to visitors and customers since March 17.

BPUB is encouraging the community to practice social distancing by making account inquiries or paying bills online or by phone to help flatten the curve of COVID-19.
