Spring Community Tour of BPUB’s Water Systems

Water, H20, Agua, Eau, Wasser or whatever you choose to call it, this element is a source that we cannot live without.

Have you ever wondered about how your drinking water is delivered to you? How that water is treated? Where it comes from? And where does your wastewater go? We have the answers to all these questions and more. Join us for our annual Water/Wastewater Community Tour on May 17, 2019.

Commercial and residential customers have the opportunity to see the inner-workings of the Brownsville water system and receive firsthand information from subject matter experts. This half-day behind the scenes tour of different BPUB water and wastewater facilities is open to the community. Reservations are required as space is limited.

Stops on the tour will include:

  • River intake
  • BPUB reservoirs
  • Robindale Wastewater Treatment Plant
  • Southmost Regional Water Authority desalination water treatment plant (SRWA)
  • Cross Connections Presentation

A light breakfast, lunch, transportation to and from each facility, and safety gear will also be included.

If you’re interested in attending, you can register online at http://newsroom.brownsville.pub.com/community-tour. If you have any questions, please call 956-983-6281.
