Some BPUB Customers to Experience Water Service Interruptions

The Brownsville Public Utilities Board (BPUB) announces there will be two water service interruptions this week, one on Aug. 12 and the other on Aug. 13, as crews replace fire hydrants. Each service interruption will affect approximately 100 customers each.

On Aug. 12, a fire hydrant will be replaced at 624 McDavitt Blvd. This will cause water to be temporarily shut off to customers in the area of McDavitt Boulevard, Bon Aire Lane and Villa Verde Drive. The work is scheduled to take place from 9 a.m. until approximately 4:30 p.m.

On Aug. 13, a fire hydrant will be replaced at 1544 Acacia Lake Drive. This will cause a temporary water service disruption from 9 a.m. until approximately 4:30 p.m. for customers in the area of Acacia Lake Drive between South Clubhouse Road and South Central Avenue.

The Brownsville Public Utilities Board apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause to its customers.
