Overnight Water Valve Work to Cause Minor Interruptions

BPUB will conduct overnight valve maintenance work on Friday, Jan. 9, 2015, beginning at 10 p.m. and ending on Saturday, Jan. 10, 2015, at approximately 8 a.m. Residents living in the area west of North Expressway 77 from Stovall Road and spanning south to Rio Vista Avenue may experience a temporary water interruption.

BPUB Spreads Word About Resaca Restoration Project at Zoo

BPUB went to the Gladys Porter Zoo during the zoo’s Wild Tales event to help educate people about the Resaca Restoration Project. Ground Breaking Held for Resaca Restoration Project Museum Exhibit

The Children’s Museum of Brownsville held a ground breaking Oct. 22 for a 3,000-square-foot outdoor expansion that will feature an exhibit about BPUB’s Resaca Restoration Project. BPUB’s contribution to this project is an exhibit that will teach children about the dewatering system used in the Resaca Restoration Project. The Brownsville Public Utilities Board needed to come up with a new solution for dredging the resaca system at Gladys Porter Zoo. This week’s BPUB Update looks at the new tactic being used: diver-guided dredging
