Fire Hydrant Replacement to Cause Water Service Interruption

The Brownsville Public Utilities Board (BPUB) announces there will be a water service interruption Wednesday night from 10 p.m. until approximately 5 a.m. that will affect more than 300 customers in the area between Dockberry Road and George Saenz Lane.

The water service interruption is necessary for crews to replace a fire hydrant on South Dakota Avenue. Areas that will be affected include Palm Drive, South Texas Palm Circle, Texas Palm Circle, Sabal Palm Grove Road, Date Drive, Palm Grove Drive, El Campo Road, South Dakota Avenue, Pierre Avenue, Sioux Falls Avenue, Minot Avenue, Bismark Boulevard, Fargo Avenue, Mitchell Avenue, Del Rio Road, Paloma Blanca Drive, Montebello Circle, Monte Bonito Drive, Los Arboles Drive, Monte Alto Drive, Los Lobos Drive, Sicamoro Drive, Bengal Drive, Panther Drive, Lynx Drive, Maverick Road, Tiger Drive, IDEA Frontier Academy, Lopez High School and Palm Grove Elementary, but other customers in the area may also experience a temporary water service interruption while work is being completed.
