BPUB Announces US 77/83 Temporary Closure

The Brownsville Public Utilities Board (BPUB) announces a temporary closure of northbound Interstate Highway 77/83 (US77/83) on Wednesday, June 14, 2017, from midnight to approximately 5:30 a.m. BPUB crews will temporarily close the northbound portion of the expressway from FM1732 to TX550/FM511 as BPUB personnel repair street lighting. Some BPUB Customers to Experience Water Service Interruption

BROWNSVILLE, Texas – The Brownsville Public Utilities Board (BPUB) announces there will be a water service interruption Tuesday, Dec. 22, from 10 p.m. until approximately 3 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 23, as crews install a fire hydrant. More Than 100 Customers to Experience Water Service Disruption

The Brownsville Public Utilities Board (BPUB) announces there will be a water service interruption starting Friday, July 31 at 11 p.m. until approximately 8 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 1 that will affect more than 100 customers in the area of Russell Drive, Lakeside Boulevard, West Washington Street, West Elizabeth Street, West St. Francis Street, West 13th Street, West 14th Street and Power Plant Drive.

BPUB: Crews Repairing Water Main

Approximately 30 Brownsville Public Utilities Board (BPUB) customers at the Victoria Garden Housing Authority complex are currently without water service today due to a broken water line in the area of Grant Street and International Boulevard. BPUB crews have closed valves in the area to stop water losses and are excavating to assess the extent of a water line rupture.
